Dude, Where's My Bumper? Hit-And-Run With Fire Hydrant In Palatine, Harassing Elderly Woman At Walgreens, Arrested Dui In Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver about 4:07 PM Tuesday  in the 235 East Palatine Road. Police received a report of a reckless driver in  front of Walgreens, 235 East Palatine Road. Prior to the reckless driving complaint, the two male occupants of the vehicle appeared to be following an elderly female inside the store.

One subject was a male/white, tall, thin build with a black beard, and the second subject was a male/white tall, thin with glasses.

Arlington Heights police arrived on the scene within three minutes and found the car that fit the description -- a Ford with no rear license plate. 

Also prior to the reckless driving complaint, Palatine police received a report at about 3:04 p.m. of a hit-and-run -- car vs. fire hydrant. Palatine police then wanted the driver of a Ford Mustang that hit a fire hydrant near Lake Louise and Wilke Road. Palatine police found the rear bumper with the license plate in the area. The vehicle was last seen without its bumper heading southbound on Wilke Road.

Arlington Heights police matched the front license plate to the rear license plate that Palatine police found near Wilke Road and Lake Louise. Palatine police responded to Walgreens in Arlington Heights to investigate their complaint. 

Police transported a male driver -- arrested DUI -- in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. Police towed the driver's silver Ford Mustang to a police holding area.
