Update On DUI Stop And Arrest At Mcdonalds Parking Lot, North Arlington Heights Rd
Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver about 3:30 AM Sunday at the McDonald's parking lot, 1920 North Arlington Heights Road. A Wheeling man faces felony DUI charges after erratic driving was observed eastbound on Rand Road near Arlington Heights Road.
Police arrested Beau A. Adams, a 32-year-old male of the 1600 block of Ottawa Court, Wheeling. Adams was driving a silver 1989 Ford Thunderbird when he was observed crossing the double-yellow divider. He allegedly swerved back into the proper lane. He was stopped in the parking lot at McDonald's. During the traffic stop, a strong odor of alcohol was detected on breath.
Adams failed a field sobriety test. He was also discovered to be driving on a suspended drivers license-- suspended for statutory summary suspension.
He faces felony charges for driving while license suspended and for aggravated DUI.
He also faces a third felony because his license was suspended because of second DUI.
Adams also faces a traffic citation for driving while suspended and for improper lane usage.
