Icy Conditions: Multiple Crashes Areawide; Crash Involving Mount Prospect Police Car At Northwest Highway And Emerson
Numerous crashes are reported this Friday morning -- many related to icy conditions.
Mount Prospect police reported a police-involved crash at about 8:25 a.m. Friday at Northwest Highway and Emerson Street. Police reported two other vehicles involved. Three vehicles required tow trucks. To complicate matters a freight train stalled across Kensington Road east of Wolf Road.
A Mount Prospect fire engine responding to the crash was stopped on the other side of the tracks. The train is expected to be stalled for about 30 minutes.
Buffalo Grove responded to a crash at Buffalo Grove High School at the Dundee Road entrance with a least one injury.
Buffalo Grove police responded to a crash at Weidner and Deerfield Parkway.
Buffalo Grove responded to a crash in the 1200 block of Selwyn Lane.
Arlingoton Heights police responded to a crash at Stonebridge Drive and Rand Road that involved icy conditions.
