Learn Your Risk Of Heart Disease At NCH Heart Awareness Month Events
Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting four events in conjunction with Heart Awareness Month in February that will help residents increase their knowledge of their risk for heart disease. Because some heart conditions don't have symptoms, cardiac risk assessment is important to be able to detect problems early and take preventive measures to lower risk.
Three "Know Your Numbers" cardiac screening events will take place on February 2nd, February 9th and February 16th, giving community members opportunities to assess their risk factors. For $20, attendees will take home their cholesterol, glucose, BMI (body mass index) and blood pressure numbers.
Space is limited, so registration is required for all of the NCH heart events by calling 847.618.4YOU (4968) or signing up online at nch.org/heart.
