Storms Possible About Noon; High 80s Today

9:50 AM Friday . A line of thunderstorms is indicated by radar from west-central Wisconsin southwest near Rockford and heading toward the northwest suburbs. The storms would probably arrived in the northwest suburbs about 11:30 a.m. to noon. The National Weather Service expects the storms will weaken as they enter dryer, more stable air in Chicagoland. However at 9:55 a.m. radar indicated the storms are strengthening as they approach Rockford. At 10 :00 a.m. counties west of Lake (IL), Cook and DuPage are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
