Third Strong Armed Robbery In Two Months In Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Police Department (SPD) is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect from a Strong Armed Robbery that occurred at 8:34 p.m. last night (Monday June 17th). A female adult resident of Schaumburg was approaching the entrance of a condominium building on the 300 block of South Roselle Road when two male black teens approached. One of the suspects grabbed a gold necklace from the victim's neck and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. No weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described a male/black, 15-16 yoa, 6'00", thin build.

SPD detectives are investigating two similar robberies that occurred in Beat 1 last month. Anybody who may recognize the above suspect or have information on any of these crimes is asked to call the SPD Investigations Division at 847.882.3534.

Residents are reminded to remain alert in public and immediately report suspicious persons by calling 9-1-1.
