Police Ask For Assistance Tracing Scott Verden's Activities Day Before He Was Found Dead

On Friday, August 23, 2013 about 3:40 p.m. the Arlington Heights Police Department responded to a report of a possible deceased male inside a vehicle in the 2100 block of East Park Street. Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and determined that the male was beyond all medical assistance and he was pronounced deceased at 4:02 p.m.

The deceased was identified as Scott A. Verden, 50 years old of the 2100 block of E. Park Street. A Cook County Medical Examiner's investigator arrived on scene and the Verden's body was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.

An autopsy performed did not reveal the cause of death. The cause of death is pending toxicology results which may take several weeks.

No signs of foul play have been identified, and there are no related safety concerns for the community.

Arlington Heights police are urging any persons with information concerning Scott A. Verden's whereabouts and activities on August 22, 2013 to contact the Arlington Heights Police Department.
