Mount Prospect police responded about 8:29 PM Wednesday to a report of shots fired and a gunshot victim near Dempster Street and Algonquin Road Mount Prospect, IL. Police received a report that a man was shot by a man with an accomplice near Dempster Street and Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect, IL. The victim met with firefighter/paramedics at Star Market.

#1 Driver was a male/Hispanic wearing a hoodie .
#2 passenger male/Hispanic with a light complexion wearing a baseball cap and a hoodie, and armed with a handgun.
Both suspects fled in a white 4-door vehicle. The vehicle last seen westbound on Algonquin Road from Dempster Street.
The crime is reported to have occurredat 8:19 p.m.
Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital.
