Construction Crew Hits Gas Line at Arlington Heights Rd and I-90, Southbound to Westbound Ramp Shut Down
Illinois State police and Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:22 AM Friday to a report of a gas leak 42.042379, -87.984782 (Arlington Heights Road and Interstate 90 Arlington Heights, IL). Illinois State Police and Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics received a report that a construction crew hit a gas line near the ramp from southbound Arlington Heights Road to westbound I-90.
Firefighters confirmed that a gas line was ruptured and reported a 2-inch line was involved.
The ramp from southbound Arlington Heights Road to westbound Interstate 90 was shut down at about 8:27 a.m.
