Additional Videos Received for Fox Lake Investigation of Lt. Joe Gliniewicz's Homicide; Police Now Say His Gun Was Found at Crime Scene

The Lake County Sheriff's Office Thursday at about 12:33 p.m. Friday conducted a press conference updating the case of the Fox Lake police officer Lt. Joe Gliniewicz homicide. At the podium were Lake County Sheriff's Det. Chris Covelli and Lake County Major Crimes Task Force Cmdr. George Filenko. The press conference was over 20 minutes long, and involved a long question and answer period.

Motorola Solutions has pledged $50,000 to support the investigation.

Many tips are coming and law enforcement has received tremendous support from the community.

The FBI is having some difficulty producing the images off the hard drive from the home security video mentioned yesterday.

Additional videos have been brought forward -- including a video from the Lake County Department of Transportation.

Filenko reported that the Lake County Department of Transportation was astute enough to save images from intersection cameras that otherwise would have been recycled in normal use.

There are images from security videos from home, business, and government entities that show commonality. The images will be put together by the FBI in a sequential presentation for investigators.

Lt. Joe Gliniewicz's weapon is a .40 caliber weapon.

Lt. Joe Gliniewicz's weapon was recovered at the crime scene.

Lake County Major Crimes Task Force Cmdr. George Filenko still refused to comment on whether Lt. Joe Gliniewicz's weapon was the murder weapon.
