Pace Bus Express from Union Station to Lake Cook Rd Station Service Discontinued

Route 618 -- Union Station - Lake Cook Express -- Service Discontinuation -- Effective Monday, April 4, 2016

Due to low ridership, service on Route 618 will be discontinued effective Monday, April 4, 2016.

Route 618 will no longer operate following the last trip on Friday, April 1, 2016.

Passengers can continue to take advantage of Metra/Pace connections from Chicago to Lake Cook Road Station via the Metra Milwaukee District North Line. The first train from Chicago arrives at Lake Cook Road Station at 7:22am and is served by Pace Routes 627, 631, 632, 633 & 635.

Pace Route 618 Union Station – Lake Cook Express formerly operated an early morning, weekday trip from the Metra Milwaukee District North Line Western Avenue Station (Hubbard / Artesian, SW corner at 5:45 am)
and Chicago Union Station (Jackson / Clinton, SW corner at 6:00 am) to the Lake Cook Road Station (at 6:50 am).

Route 618 formerly traveled non-stop along the Kennedy (I90/I94) and
Edens (I94) Expressways to connect with Pace Shuttle Bug Routes 627, 631, 632, 633, and 635 at the Lake Cook Road Station.
