High-Angle Rescue at Kates Rd and Railroad Tracks, Deerfield

Deerfield police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:58 PM Friday to a report of three kids stranded on a tall water tower at 42.158148, -87.844019 (Kates Rd and Railroad Tracks Deerfield, IL). Firefighter/paramedics received a report from police on the scene that three kids were on the water tower near the Kates Road bridge and the railroad tracks.

SQD19, A10, and two additional TRT Techs requested by 6:11 p.m.

Firefighter/paramedics were preparing for rescue, and setting up lighting as rescue operations may progress through sunset into darkness.

Paramedics were in communication with three children of unknown age. All three children reported they had no middle issues and "were fine."
