Stolen Black Diamond Plumbing Van Reported Stolen in Barrington Hills, Suspects Caught in Chicago

Barrington Hills police received a report about 10:40 AM Thursday of a stolen plumbing van Burning Oak Trail and Braeburn Road Barrington Hills, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders took a white Nissan 2500 box truck from a residence on Burning Oak Trail near Braeburn Road.

The truck has the words Black Diamond Plumbing on the side, and is apparently a plumbing service truck.

The truck was last seen in the immediate area at 11:04 a.m. on Hillside Avenue.

The truck was being followed by a black or blue Volkswagen Jetta.

Police spotted the Volkswagen Jetta near Lake Street and Desplaines Street. The offenders attempted to flee and crashed the Jetta at Lake Street and Desplaines Street.

Possibly two suspects are in custody.

As of 11:55 a.m. the Black Diamond Plumbing van was not recovered.
