Shots Fired, One Person Shot near Meadow Green Ln and Cedar Lake Rd, Round Lake Beach
Round Lake Beach police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:41 PM Monday to a shooting near Meadow Green Lane and Cedar Lake Road Round Lake Beach, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a passenger in the back seat of a black 4-door sedan with black rims fired shots. There were possibly three people in the vehicle when the shooting occurred. The offenders fled in the vehicle northbound on Cedar Lake Road.
The weapon used was possibly a black semi-automatic handgun.
One person was shot when four or five shots were fired. The condition of the victim was unknown at the time of the report.
Northbound Cedar Lake Road is congested or blocked back to Rollins Road.
