dog Dies in House Fire on Richmond Circle Near Regency Dr, Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:41 AM Sunday to a report of something burning in a house at 575 Richmond Circle Lake Zurich. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a house fire with everyone evacuated from the house.

Engine 324's crew on arrival reports a 2-story wood frame with smoke showing -- leading out.

Change of quarters companies requested off of Box Card 32-B1.

The homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation by Barrington-Coutryside Ambulance 38's crew after the homeowner attempted to rescue a dog that did not survive.

Firefighters rescued a second dog, and transported the dog to a Buffalo Grove veterinary clinic.

Command reported water on the fire by 11:53 a.m.

The primary search of the house was declared all clear at 12:01 p.m.

Command reported the fire was under control and the secondary search was complete by about 12:02 p.m.
