Missing Person Found After Dive Operation at Lake Arlington.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:50 AM Thursday to a report of missing with mental illness near Lake Arlington, Windsor Drive and Valley Lane Arlington Heights, Il. Police on the scene requested firefighter/paramedics to responded to the scene when they found clothing near the dock, just east of the boat house at Lake Arlington. Report of missing person with a history of mental illness. On August 31, 2017, at approximately 8:51 a.m. an Arlington Heights resident reported his wife missing. The 40-year-old woman suffers from mental illness. Her last known location was at Lake Arlington Park (2201 N. Windsor Drive Arlington Heights), where her shoes and the family dog were found. A search of the park and lake was initiated by police and fire personnel. During the search, the woman was found conscious and in relatively good physical heath. Suspect Warrant for Arrest on Waverly Place: Man Flees to Camelot Park Neighborhood, Gets Tasered, Arrested, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 9:45 AM Wednesday to a call for assistance from detectives for a fleeing suspect in the area of Waverly Place and Windsor Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police detectives were working on a warrant for the arrest of a suspect wanted by another village or city in the block of 1300 Waverly Place. When the suspect saw the police, he fled west toward Camelot Park, 1005 East Suffield Drive. Several Arlington Heights police units converged in the area and were also involved in a foot pursuit throughout Camelot Park. Arlington Heights Park District set up their own lock down temporarily, helping people seek shelter in the Camelot Park building facility. The suspect ran back toward his residence on the south side of Waverly Place. Some police were still waiting at his residence. Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:31 AM Wednesday to a report of a rollover crash with possible injuries at Northwest Point Boulevard and King Street Elk Grove Village, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a a report that the driver was out of the vehicle on his own. An Elk Grove Village fire crew on arrival reported one vehicle on its roof with heavy damage. Engine 8's crew reported no entrapment by 12:26 p.m. and extra crews were returned. The driver was apparently not injured. The Audi sedan was severely damaged -- especially on the passenger side. Motorcycle Crash with Injuries at Arlington Heights Rd and Sigwalt St, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:45 AM Tuesday to a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries. Arlington Heights Road and Sigwalt Street Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorcyclist was down after a crash with a sedan. A motorcycle rear-ended by sedan northbound Arlington Heights Road just south of Sigwalt Street. The crash was almost directly in front of Picket Fence Realty, where owner Sue Duchek immediately called 9-1-1 to report the personal injury crash. Sue Duchek and Picket Fence Realty staff went out to help by turning off the motorcycle engine and helping at the scene, but were also touched to see the female driver of sedan get down to hug and console the motorcyclist while he was down on the street. Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:01 PM Tuesday of a stolen auto in the block of 500 North Yale Ave Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders took the victims' unlocked 2015 gray Mazda CX-9. The value of the item taken was unknown at the time of the police report. The Village of Arlington Heights has awarded a contract to Burns & McDonnell to conduct inflow and infiltration testing of the sanitary sewers in several subdivisions within the Village. This testing is required by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) as an ongoing effort to minimize rain water flows into the sanitary sewer system. The Village has selected an investigative program using smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system to help identify any potential sources of storm water inflow and infiltration. Testing will be conducted in Michael Manor, Somerset, Arlington Vista, Hasbrook from August 23 through August 31, 2017. A map highlighting these locations is available on the Village's website. A reminder doorknob hanger will be distributed to you and your neighbors 24 to 48 hours in advance of testing in your subdivision. Teen Shot, Critically Injured Somewhere West of Fairfield Rd from Rollins to Route 134, Long Lake, Round Lake Area

Lake County Sheriff's deputies responded about 11:20 PM Wednesday to a call of shots fired Norelius Avenue and Thompson Street Round Lake, IL. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies determined that a 17-year-old boy had been shot. The teen was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Thursday morning, according to Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Christopher Covelli. The shooting occurred in the street in the general area located west of Fairfield Road and South of Rollins Road, between Rollins and Route 134 in unincorporated Lake County, according to Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Farid S. Rakin, age has been charged with the murder of a Waukegan woman who he allegedly shot and killed at a house party June 5, 2017 in the block of 1600 11th Street in Waukegan. Farid S. Rakin, of Waukegan, is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in the death of 24-year-old Ciera Davis, according to a news release from the Waukegan Police Department Wednesday August 23, 2017.. Police responded about 4:30 a.m. Monday June 5, 2017 to a shooting call and found Ciera's SUV riddled with bullets in the middle of 11th Street and no victim. Police learned that a friend drove Ciera Davis to Vista Medical Center East, where she was pronounced. Police found that the vehicle was registered to Davis. Police revealed that they knew there was a social gathering and an altercation, but the did not say whether they had a suspect. They did say they felt the public was safe in the neighborhood. Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:08 AM Wednesday to a report of crash with injuries at Dryden Avenue and Hawthorne Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that the crash was located at Dryden Avenue and Euclid Avenue, but the crash was actually located on Dryden Avenue north of Hawthorne Street near the St Viator High School athletic fields. A man apparently was northbound on Dryden Avenue when he veered out of the way of a dog in the street. He crashed into a black Audi sedan parked northbound at the curb on the east side of Dryden Avenue. The driver initially reported minor or no injuries. Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” Traffic Campaign

The Arlington Heights Police Department will commence specialized traffic enforcement activities relating to the Labor Day holiday "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" enforcement campaigns August 21st to September 5th, 2017. Enforcement activities will include numerous seatbelt enforcement zones, impaired driving saturation patrols, and a Roadside Safety Checkpoint. The checkpoint will take place of Friday, August 25th, 2017 on Arlington Heights Road south of Algonquin Road. Officers working the campaigns will be attempting to identify and cite motorists who choose to drive without using their safety belts, are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or are committing other traffic-related offenses. The campaigns are funded with federal traffic safety funds, which are administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation – Division of Transportation Safety. Elmhurst police responded about 7:40 PM Sunday to a report of a kidnaping near St Charles Road and Villa Avenue Elmhurst, IL. Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:37 AM Thursday of a vehicle burglary in the block of 800 South Beverly Lane Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders entered the victim's unlocked 2016 black Honda Pilot and removed a purse. The purse contained a driver's license, jewelry and credit cards. The credit cards were later used in a location outside of Arlington Heights. The offender(s) also took the victim's 2015 silver Chrysler 200, unknown value. The keys had been left in the vehicle. The Chrysler 200 was later recovered in Chicago. Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:09 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 to check on a resident in the block of 1100 East Kensington Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police responded to a check for well-being call, and then requested firefighter/paramedics to expedite to the scene after they arrived on scene. A man was apparently seriously injured, and was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. The injury might have involved a gunshot wound. Police were ruling out any possible criminal activity, and were canvassing the immediate neighborhood. There is no apparent threat to the neighborhood. Schaumburg police responded about 8:00 AM Wednesday with NIPAS EST personnel to surround a home on Cambridge Drive near the intersection of Cambridge Drive Lowell Lane Schaumburg, IL. Neighbors witnessed several unmarked police vehicles arrive about 8:00 a.m. this morning, and then saw marked police squads and armored Bearcat vehicles move up to the house. Police surrounded a house on the east side of Cambridge Drive, including an area of a creek at the rear of the house. Police received a report that an offender drove up to a female juvenile and offered her money in exchange for a sex act. The offender was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The suspect was decribed as a white male in his 20's or 30's, with short brown hair, and a brown beard. The vehicle was described as a newer model, red, 4-door sedan and was last seen westbound on Rockwell Street from Newbury Place in the Scarsdale/Scarsdale Estate area.
