Crash with Parked Car on Congested Dryden Ave Near St Viator High School, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 3:11 PM Tuesday to a property damage crash in the block of 800 North Dryden Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a female teen driver hit a parked vhicle on northbound Dryden Avenue near the athletic parks of St Viator High School.

The driver of a black late model Ford Escape hit a parked white late model Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The jeep Wrangler Rubicon was parked on the northbound curbside and received minor to moderate left rear damage to the bumper and rear fender.

The Ford Escape received moderate damage to the right front bumper and fender. There were not initial injuries reported.

There were several teen girls, apparently from St Viator High School, milling about on Dryden Avenue immediately following the crash with motorists in traffic attempting to pass the crash. Dryden Avenue, which is a secondary north-south thoroughfare in Arlington Heights, was congested at the time with vehicles parked on both sides of the street.

The cause of the crash with a parked car was not initially known, and it was not initially known whether any citations were issued.
