Vehicle Crash Into Tree with Entrapment and Fire at Mohican Road and Pocahontas Trail Carol Stream

Carol Stream police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:06 PM Friday to a report of a vehicle crash into a tree at Mohican Road and Pocahontas Trail Carol Stream, Il. Battalion 28 on arrival reported a crash with entrapment and a significant fire. Medic 16, Medic 27, Medic 20, Medic 29 en route by 7:10 p.m. Battalion Chief 28 reported the fire extinguished by 7:11 p.m. with one patient entrapped. Extra medics (ambulances) were called to the scene for several police officers with smoke inhalation. Pickpocket Theft at Restaurant on Campbell St Near Vail Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:01 PM Saturday of a theft at 17 West Campbell Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender unlawfully took the victim's wallet after bumping into her at the bar. It was later determined the female offender bumped into the victim on purpose as a ruse to take the wallet off of the victim's person. The female offender is described as White, 5'2", with black hair and wearing a light colored top. Contained in the wallet were various credit cards and identification cards, various gift cards and $100 cash. One of the victim's credit cards were later used fraudulently at a local Target store. Criminal Damage to Vehicle at Apartment Complex on Tonne Drive, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:55 AM Saturday of criminal damage to vehicle in the block of 2100 South Tonne Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report of criminal damage to vehicle in progress by an unknown offender. A third party witness reported that an unknown female offender was hitting a victim's vehicle with a baseball bat while it was parked legally in the apartment complex parking lot. The offender was described as a female/black, approximately 30-35 years-old, heavyset, and wearing a patterned dress. Vehicle Stolen While Parked in Auto Service Lot on East Northwest Highway Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:09 PM Thursday of a stolen auto at SMOC Enterprises, 660 East Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown male offender unlawfully took the victim's vehicle from the parking lot of an automobile repair garage while it was at the garage being serviced. The vehicle had been left unattended by garage staff and unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle while in the parking lot. The offender is described as a male/Hispanic, wearing a purple shirt, green hat, black shorts and carrying a black backpack. The police release did not described the vehicle make and model. Rollover Crash with Injuries at Central Road and Kirchoff Road Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:10 PM Wednesday to a report of a rollover crash with entrapment at Central Road and Kirchoff Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that one vehicle was on it side with the driver still inside the vehicle. Police first on the scene reported that the driver in the rolled vehicle was alert and talking. First fire crew on arrival reported one person in a vehicle with all others ambulatory. Fire In Commercial/Residential Building on Addison Ct Near Busse Rd, Unincorporated Arlington Heights

Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:03 AM Tuesday to a report of a fire in a commercial building at 1020 East Addison Court Mount Prospect, Il. Firefighter/paramedics arrived to find smoke on the second floor. The building includes commercial and residential occupancy. The fire was reported "in check" by 11:35 a.m. but not completely extinguished because of an electrical hazard preventing complete extinguishment of the fire. The fire was upgraded to a working fire response at 11:12 a.m. and ComEd was requested to expedite to the scene to shut off electricity. ComEd arrived by 11:49 a.m. Busse Road is closed in both directions between Kenneth Drive and Addison Court. Police received a report that an unknown but repeat male offender concealed merchandise for sale on his person before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. Arson to Port-a-Toilets at Raven Park; Criminal Damage to Port-a-Toilet at Patriots Park, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:01 PM Tuesday of criminal damage to property and arson at Raven Park, 359 West Burr Oak Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders criminally damaged a port-a-toilet by starting a fire inside a the port-a-toilet. The structure became engulfed in flames and was extinguished by Arlington Heights firefighters. On Friday August 2, 2019 a second port-a-body was discovered engulfed in flames about 2:00 a.m. and was extinguished. No injuries were reported and no suspects were in custody. On Monday July 29, 2019 offender(s) damaged a port-a-toilet at the park by using spray paint to write obscene language on the interior walls. The offenders also shot paintballs at a brick structure on the property at Patriots Park, 1815 North Dale Avenue. The Patriots Park vandalism crime is reported to have occurred between Monday, July 29, 2019 at 12:00 AM and Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 12:00 PM.

Liquor Store Burglary on Northwest Highway Near Kaspar Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:21 AM Tuesday of a commercial burglary at Elm's Liquors 906 West Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully entered the liquor store by using a rock to break a glass window. Police officers responded to the scene for an activated burglar alarm and observed the broken window, but the offender(s) were no longer on scene. A police K9 was called to the scene and a track for the offenders was conducted, but was unsuccessful in locating any suspects. An inventory of the store was conducted and approximately $3,600 worth of alcohol beverages had been taken. Additionally, a cash register was damaged in the store and approximately $1000 was taken. The cost to repair the broken window is approximately $1000 and the cost to repair the broken cash register is approximately $500 USC. The crime is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:20 AM.

Theft of Credit Cards in "Employee Only" Area at Kirkland's on Rand Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 10:22 PM Wednesday of a theft at Kirkland's, 15 West Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown female offender unlawfully removed two credit cards from the victim's purse while the victim was on shift as an employee at Kirkland's. The offender is not employed by Kirkland's. The stolen credit cards were later used fraudulently. Video surveillance equipment captured the offender entering an "employees only" area of the store and unlawfully entering the office where the victim's purse was stored. The offender is described as a female/black suspect approximately 20-30 years old, 5'2", 160 LBS, with long, black, waist-length hair in a headband; wearing round sunglasses, a plaid shirt, and tight jeans with rips in them, and metallic sandals.
