Eggs Thrown at Cars Parked Overnight on Street During Curb and Sidewalk Repair Belmont Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:30 AM Monday of vandalism and criminal damage to several vehicles in the block of 1500 North Belmont Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders criminally damaged about five or six vehicles by throwing eggs at cars that were parked on the street overnight during curb and sidewalk repairs occurring in the neighborhood. Later, security video was discovered that showed that at least four teens threw eggs at vehicles between 8:40 p.m. and 8:42 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022. There were one or two vehicles connected to the teens. Security video showed one sedan moving slowly southbound on Belmont Avenue toward Lynwood Avenue at 8:40 p.m. Next, a second sedan was traveling southbound at a faster speed -- possibly to catch up with the first vehicle. Arlington Heights police responded about 1:32 PM Tuesday to a battery at near the Walgreens at 1711 West Campbell Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a 70-year-old battery victim was outside the store when an offender approached and punched a victim in the shoulder and head area. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect proceeded to kick him. The victim suffered injuries to his nose and hands. Records indicated that paramedics were not called in the time frame around the time police responded to the call. The suspect is described as a white male around 60 years-old. Criminal Damage to Property at Apartment Complex on South Tonne Drive, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:30 PM Monday of criminal damage to property at an apartment complex at 2165 South Tonne Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that unknown offenders criminally damaged property at an apartment complex. An apartment resident advised three subjects went to his porch, picked up a coffee mug and threw it to the ground causing it to break. The subjects then threw items at the resident's sliding glass door. The subjects are described as juveniles -- two were black males and one was a black female. Burglary at Walgreens, Burglary and SUV Theft at Dealership Overnight, Arlington Heights

Police received a report that four unknown offenders burglarized a car dealership and a Walgreens in Arlington Heights overnight Saturday/Sunday. Offenders were able to steal a white Jeep Cherokee from Napleton's Arlington Heights Chrysler sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Then about 3:30 a.m. the Walgreens at 1711 West Campbell Street was burglarized. An initial investigation indicated that the offenders may be the same offenders that took the Jeep Cherokee from Napleton's.
