Minivan Crash With Backhoe On Northwest Highway Contstruction Near Chatham Place, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:54 PM Wednesday to a report of crash with injuries at Northwest Highway and Chatham Place Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a minivan crashed with excavation equipment at Northwest Highway and Chatham Place at the Northwest Highway construction project.

A minivan and a backhoe collided in the eastbound lanes of Northwest Highway, just west of Chatham Place.

Two people were injured and transported to Northwest Community Hospital -- the driver of the minivan and a highway construction worker.

Northwest Highway is in the middle of an extensive road construction project that began in Spring and is expected to end to end late Fall.
