Garden Walk And Unique Boutique Sunday, June 22, 2014, 10 Am To 4 Pm
GARDEN WALK & UNIQUE BOUTIQUE FEATURES ANNOUNCED
The Arlington Heights Garden Club is proud to announce their upcoming Garden Walk & Unique Boutique scheduled for Sunday, June 22 from 10am – 4pm. The Garden Walk will showcase five residential gardens, each demonstrating real-gardening techniques and strategies for today's lifestyle. Tickets for the Walk are $10 in advance and can be purchased in the lobby of the three Village Bank & Trust's Arlington Heights locations. Advance tickets will also be available at the Arlington Heights Farmers Market on June 14th and 21st.
Tickets purchased the day of the event are $15 and must be purchased on the grounds of the Arlington Heights Historical Society.
The Unique Boutique is held on the grounds of the Arlington Heights Historical Society. The Boutique is free, and open to the public.
Special features this year include:
Land of the Giants Hosta Farm
A specialty hosta will be on site with the most popular and unusual hosta varieties
Advance orders qualify for a 20% discount, with orders being delivered at the Boutique.
The ISEA Solar House
Volunteers will demonstrate the latest developments in the field of solar energy.
Tickets for the ISEA 2014 Tesla Model S raffle will be available!
Metropolitan Water Reclamation District
The MWRD will be addressing stormwater management strategies and answering questions.
The rainbarrel program will be outlined, and a rainwater / rainbarrel system will be raffled!
Certified Arborist
Questions about tree health and tree care will be addressed by Arborist Ryan Sherman.
Suggestions for trees to be planted as replacement for diseased trees will be available.
University of Illinois Extension Service Master Gardeners
The Master Gardeners will be available to help solve your gardening challenges!
Bring pictures, plants, or bugs (in bags or sealed containers, please)...and get practical advice
UNIQUE products…..
Multiple vendors who offer quality and distinctive items for the garden, from the garden, or about gardens and gardening will be selling their wares at the Boutique.
