Attempted Armed Robbery At Jersey Mike's On Biesterfield Rd At Elk Crossing, Elk Grove Village
Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:57 PM Wednesday to a report of an armed robbery and shooting at Jersey Mike's 178 Biesterfield Rd Elk Grove Village, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of an armed robbery. When police arrived, the offender was already being detained and he was taken into custody by Elk Grove Village police officers.
Charges are pending further investigation of the incident and the offenders name was not released by Elk Grove Village Police Department.
Initially there was a report that someone was shot or injured. Crews from Elk Grove Village Fire Department staged in the area until police secured the area. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported according to Elk Grove Village Police Department.
