House Fire On Della Dr Injures One Resident, Causes Serious Damage In Hoffman Estates
Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:38 PM Monday to a house fire in the block of 1500 Della Drive Hoffman Estates, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a patio deck was on fire and that the fire was spreading to the back wall of the house and the roof.
When firefighters arrived, the Hoffman Estates Battalion Chief report there was fire showing from the left front corner of the house, and that it appeared that the entire rear wall of the house was on fire.
A working fire response was requested and the battalion chief declared a defensive operation was underway.
The fire was declared under control at about 1:18 p.m.
One resident of the house was transported to St Alexius Hospital by Streamwood firefighter/paramedics. No other injuries were reported.
Streamwood also sent an engine crew to the scene, while Palatine Rural and Carpentersville sent ambulances to the scene.
Elk Grove Village changed quarters to Hoffman Estates to provide coverage for the rest of Hoffman Estates while firefighting operations were underway for the house fire.
