Thunderstorms with Frequent Lightning and 50 MPH Winds Possible 4:30 PM to 7 PM Saturday

Thunderstorms are popping up west and southwest of Arlington Heights about as far west as the Cook County - DuPage County border.

The storm are stationary in a clash with hot, humid summer air and cook lake air.

Although the storms are stationary, they are are likely to grow in size into Arlington Heights and neighboring communities.

Frequent lightning, wind gusts to 40-50 mph, dime size hail and heavy downpours are possible with these storms.

The storms are expected to stop no later than 7:00 p.m.
