Man Asks Boy If He Lost $20; Exposes Himself and Drives Away at Oleander Avenue and Suffield Street, Morton Grove

Morton Grove police received a report of 4:31 PM Wednesday indecent exposure Oleander Avenue and Suffield Street Morton Grove, IL.. Police received a report that an 11-year-old boy was walking alone near Oleander Avenue and Suffield Street in Morton Grove at 4:30 p.m. when a man driving a dark-colored vehicle pulled over and exposed his genitals.

The man lured the boy toward his car by asking him if he lost $20 on the street, and when the child approached he noticed the man was undressed from the waist down. The man lifted up his shirt to expose his genitals and drove away,

Police interviewed two adult witnesses who may have seen the vehicle.

The offender was described as approximately 40-years-old with balding hair and a medium build. The offender's vehicle may have been a dark gray Buick Enclave with Illinois license plates.

Police did not say which school the boy attends, but Melzer and Nelson Schools are near the location of the incident. All schools and school districts were notified of the incident on Thursday, October 8, 2015.

The location is only three blocks east of VH Nelson Elementary School. Also, the location is three blocks west of Oketo Park and two blocks north of Dempster Street between Milwaukee Avenue and Harlem Avenue.
