Aggravated Assault to Police Officer in Waukegan; One Shot Fire at Offender's Vehicle Near Elmwood Ave and Belvidere St, Waukegan
Waukegan police activity 2:07 AM Sunday for a report of an aggravated assault against a police officer near Elmwood Avenue and Belvidere Street. Police alerted area police departments of an offender description that involved a dark-colored Pontiac Grand Prix with a male/Hispanic driver wearing a red shirt.
The police alert reported that one shot was fired by the police officer.
Police were not sure whether the offender's vehicle was hit by the officer's round.
