Arlington Heights Firefighters Respond for Re-Kindling of Warehouse on East Davis St

As is normal in a large warehouse fire, the ruins continue to smoke. Firefighters were at the scene at least four times Friday to washdown some areas that rekindles in the building.

Smoke from the fire that broke out about 6:09 a.m. Thursday morning could be smell as far a Mariano's parking lot on Friday.

Saturday, a few area were smoking, but no flames were seen.

Many people called 9-1-1 Friday and Saturday to report that the building was on fire again.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire very quickly Thursday, especially considering the size of the fire, the size of the building and the heat that was involved with the fire. Three tower ladders -- one each from Arlington Heights, Des Plaines and Mount Prospect -- poured their master streams onto the destroyed building as it burned Thursday morning.
