Mid-Size SUV vs Motorcycle Crash; 2 on Harley Davidson Injured at Chicago Ave and Naper Blvd, Naperville

Naperville Police Department 2:14 PM Tuesday to a car vs. motorcycle crash at Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard Naperville, IL. Involved in the crash was a White 2008 Nissan Murano and a 2001 Maroon Harley Davidson. The Murano was driven by 73-year-old Franklin Fisher of Naperville; and the motorcycle was driven by 28-year-old Brian Spravka of Naperville.

Initial investigation indicates that the mid-size crossover SUV Nissan Murano was headed westbound on Chicago Avenue when the driver turned left onto southbound Naper Boulevard in front of the Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was eastbound on Chicago Avenue with the right of way.

Spravka and his passenger, 25-year-old Julianne Burton of Downers Grove, were apparently seriously injured and transported by paramedics to Edward Hospital for treatment.

Due to the serious nature of the crash, members of the Naperville Traffic Unit, who are trained in accident investigation and reconstruction, responded to the scene to investigate the crash. The incident remains under investigation at this time.

The driver of the 2008 Nissan Murano, Franklin Fisher, has been cited for Failure to Yield-Turning Left.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit at 630-420-8833.
