Apartment Fire in Mount Prospect

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:39 PM Sunday to a report of an apartment fire 2012 West Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of an apartment fire with a woman saying everything in her living room is on fire, and she is unable to evacuate.

An activated fire alarm also accompanied the phone call to 9-1-1.

The first fire crew on arrival reported a 2-story multi-family unit with no signs of evacuation.

Firefighters had water on the fire, and a female victim was rescued by 11:53 p.m.

The fire was under control by 12:03 a.m.

The fire was contained to one unit. No other victims were reported, but two people were displaced by the damage caused to the apartment unit.
