Armed Robbery, Shots Fired at Belvidere Discount Mall on Belvidere, Waukegan
Waukegan police responded about 10:05 AM Sunday to an armed robbery at 2107 Belvidere Road Waukegan, IL. Police received a report of an armed robbery with a suspect that fled in a dark gray 4-door Ford Taurus. Information about whether a store was robbed or a person was robbed on the street was not yet available. The addresss is possibly a wireless cell phone store.
The suspect was described as a male/white wearing a brown baseball cap, brown mask, white long pants with holes in the knees, and a brown hooded sweatshirt.
A black semi-automatic handgun was displayed and fired.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 10:05 a.m.
The suspect was last seen in the area of Martin Avenue and 8th Parkway in Waukegan.
