Fire Diesel Redemption on Commercial Rd Near Virginia Rd, Crystal Lake -- Large Commercial Building
Crystal Lake police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:50 PM Monday to a report of an explosion and fire at Diesel Redemption, 6207 Commercial Rd Crystal Lake, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a worker was using a torch during vehicle repair when a spark caused a fire and explosion.
The first crew on arrival by 3:01 pm reports heavy black smoke and immediately activates MABAS Box Alarm and then a Second Alarm. There is heavy fire and black smoke from a 200x100 sq ft commercial building with a parking lot with multiple vehicles parked outside.
Wind was from the West 12-13 MPH at 2:52 PM.
