Burglar Alarm Interrupts 3:30AM Burglary at Best Buy on Palatine Rd, Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:35 AM Wednesday of a commercial burglary at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully made entry to Best Buy using ceiling access from an adjacent business to scale the building.
The offender or offenders made entry into the neighboring business, cut into the ceiling of the business, and used ceiling access to make entry into the Best Buy.
A commercial burglary alarm activated and was automatically forwarded to Northwest Central Dispatch System, and Arlington Heights police responded to the scene. The offender or offenders ran on foot from the scene and were not located by police officers searching the area.
Investigation is underway to determine whether any items were taken.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 between 3:27 AM and 3:34 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 0:7 (hours: minutes).
