Commercial Burglary at Liquor Store on Golf Rd Near Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:38 AM Friday of a commercial burglary at Golf Liquor, 606 East Golf Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a commercial burglary alarm activation at the liquor store about 4:37 a.m. The suspect was described as a heavy-set male, wearing a mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The offender backed up a BMW sedan in a parking space directly in front of the store and fumbled around the vehicle for awhile before opening the vehicle trunk, and then pulling out a 3-foot sledge hammer from inside the vehicle. The offender then broke the glass front door and made two trips inside the store to remove merchandise. Stolen were bottles of liquor and cigarettes. The offender was driving a black or dark gray BMW 2-door sedan. The store owner immediately repaired the glass door.
