Arlington Heights police responded about 4:00 PM Friday to a report of a retail theft suspect detained at at Marshalls, 601 East Palatine Road. Karin A. Mcgrier, 51, of the 1500 block Emerson in Evanston was charged with retail theft -- Class 3 felony. Loss prevention personnel observed two women putting purses in another tan handbag and covering the anti-theft devices with aluminum foil.   The women then left the store. The woman carrying the three purses was detained. The Michael Kors purses valued at $99, $129 and $129. The other female subject left the store without any merchandise, and was not apprehended. Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:46 AM Monday of an apartment office burglary at Tanglewood Apartments, 2134 South Goebbert Road. Police received a report that an office, storage area and fitness center were burglarized. First an employee discovered the storeroom door was open but did not suspect anything was wrong.   Next, a cleaning crew also noticed a door open, but did not notice a burglary. When more employees arrived, a fireplace door between the fitness center and the office was noticed open. At this point employees realized there had been a burglary.   Approximately 35 packages received and waiting for resident pickup were opened or removed from the storage area. Also a St. Jude Hospital for Children donation jar was also removed. A fireplace is located between the fitness center and the office. Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:10 AM Saturday of a residential burglary in the 1400 block of South Princeton Avenue. Police received a report that a silver Acura TSX was burglarized while parked in a residential garage. Saturday morning at about 8:08 AM, a jogger stopped at the resident's door to tell the victim that two black leather wallets were found on the street. The jogger determined the address of the found property from identification in at least one of the wallets.. Items removed from the wallets included a Social Security card, an insurance card and gift cards with a total value of 300 The black wallets were taken from the center console. The crime is reported to have occurred between November 23, 2012 at 6:35 PM and November 24, 2012 at 8:08 AM. Mount Prospect police received a report about 7:30 AM Monday of multiple Christmas decorations stolen or damaged 1500 and 1600 block of Mura Lane,   Police received a report of multiple residences in a neighborhood of single family homes with Christmas decorations damaged or stolen. Police also discovered some residences with damage or loss before residents realized they were victims. Arlington Heights police responded about 1:35 PM Sunday to a report of a missing developmentally delayed male, age 12 from the 800 block of North Gibbons Avenue. The missing youth is described as a male/Hispanic, 12-years-old,   5' 100 LBS wearing dark navy blue nylon pants and a gray sweatshirt.   The youth has been missing since 1:35 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012. K-9 units are tracking -- including a bloodhound from Cook County Sheriff's police.
