Fatal Crash On Eastbound Interstate 90 At Arlington Heights Road Injures At Least 3 Other Victims
Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics and Illinois State Police responded about 9:15 AM Tuesday to a multi-injury crash in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90. The crash involved four cars and a yellow box truck. Vehicles were scattered across all lanes. A blue subcompact car was heavy damaged and was possibly hit in the rear-end by a yellow box truck.
Four ambulances were called to the scene. One fatality was reported, but no other details are available about the conditions of the other crash victims. Two vehicles had very minor damage.
Firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights (first due to the scene), Elk Grove Township, Elk Grove Village and Rolling Meadows all transported victims to Northwest Community Hospital and Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Some extrication was involved at the crash scene using a portable Hurst tool spreader/cutter.
