Residential Burglary At Apartment On East Shady Way In Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:50 PM Friday of a residential burglary at an apartment in the 900 block of East Shady Way. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders may have entered the apartment through a first floor window and removed an XBox Elite (valued at $360), XBox wireless controller (valued at $50) and an Apple iPod Touch (valued $150).

The crime is reported to have occurred between November 1, 2012 at 6:45 a.m. and November 2, 2012 at 3:50 p.m. The crime wasn't reported until November 30 because the youth thought that the devices were restricted by a parent or parents as punishment.

After another burglary was reported in the same apartment complex, the residents' realized their own apartment was burglarized as police were interviewing neighbors.
