House Fire On South Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:14 AM Sunday to a report of a house fire in the 600 block of South Arlington Heights Road. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that flames were showing in a basement laundry room. Firefighters arrived within three minutes and reported all residents evacuated an light smoke showing. Firefighter stretch a hose line to the rear of the house and entered the basement. The fire was knocked by 3:30 a.m., and a fire investigator was called to the scene. A representative from the Village of Arlington Heights Building Department was also requested to respond to the scene.

Firefighters immediately worked to overhaul the basement, shut off the gas utility, and ventilate the house. The first floor was cleared of smoke by about 3:45 a.m.

No report of any injuries.
