Six Crashes On The Elgin-O'hare Expressway Saturday Night

Roselle Fire Department and Hanover Park Fire Department responded about 11:06 PM Saturday to a multiple crashes on the westbound Elgin-O'Hare Expressway. Illinois State police reported six crashes on the eastbound Elgin-O'Hare Expressway. Two crashes were personal injury crashes involving a 7-year-old girl with neck pain and an adult female with chest pain.

Four crashes involved "property damage only" crashes.

The westbound expressway lanes were closed about 11:20 p.m. Saturday at Gary Avenue.

Arterial roads and side streets in Arlington Heights and Palatine were not slippery Saturday night, although vehicles had ice buildup on fenders and side mirrors. Salt trucks seemed to be ahead of the weather.
