Update: $6200 Loss; Theft Of Generator, Wiring On Spools From Construction Site At Algonquin Road And Arlington Heights Rd

Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:35 AM Tuesday of a construction site burglary at 2250 S. Arlington Heights Road. Police initially received a report that tools were missing at the construction site. Police requested an evidence technician respond to the scene.

Police determined that an unknown offender or offenders entered the gas station construction site, entered the building through an unsecured exterior door and removed a yellow Champion generator valued at $1,200 after cutting the chain securing it. Six wooden spools of Beldon wire for low voltage use valued at $5,000 was taken from an office area.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Monday, January 14, 2013 at 4:30 p.m .and January 15, 2013 at 6:20 a.m.
