Short Police Pursuit After Attempted Bank Fraud Reported At American Charter Bank, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 4:32 PM Wednesday to a report of attempted fraud in progress at American Charter Bank, 1199 East Higgins Road Schaumburg, IL Police received a report that a female/black subject in a tan van was attempting fraudulent activity at the drive-thru of the bank. Allegedly the subject was trying to withdraw funds from an account that was not the subject's account.

As police arrived on the scene the van backed out of the bank driveway and backed into a sign, and then sped off. Police had license plate information on the vehicle from the bank.

A short pursuit was terminated near Higgins Road and Route 53.
