Police Activity: Robber Rips Necklace Off Girl's Neck, Police Searching For Offender Near Golf Rd And Walnut, Schaumburg
Schaumburg police responded about 12:14 PM Saturday to a strong arm robbery in the area of Golf Road and Walnut Avenue.. Police received a report that a man ripped necklace jewelry off of a girl's neck -- possibly near Evening Song -- while she was walking in an apartment complex.
Police described the offender as a male/black in his late teens or early 20s. The subject is also described as light-skinned with short hair and a mustache. He was wearing a tank top and has a large tatoo.
The offender pushed the girl down and, after ripping off the jewelry, asked for everything else she had. She was not carrying any other possessions.
Arlington Heights police responded with a K-9 unit. Police are searching the area for the offender.
