Village Renews Contract Wtih Integrys For Electricity: Down To 5.579 Cents Per Kilowatt Hour From 6.373

Arlington Heights along with six other municipalities recently renewed its agreement with Integrys Energy through the end of April, 2014. The first rate changes with the new agreement will occur beginning with the June billing cycle.

Residents will be receiving rate change notices in the mail from Integrys. Residents will automatically remain in the program unless you "Opt Out" by May 26, 2013.

The mailing includes a letter re-introducing the aggregation program, the terms and agreements for the program and the "Opt Out" card for anyone who wishes to stay with or return to ComEd. All of this information is also available by clicking here.

The Village has negotiated a price of 5.579 cents per kilowatt hour for 100% renewable energy, which is lower than the current ComEd rate of 6.373 cents per kilowatt hour. While ComEd's rates change each June and October, Integrys' rate is fixed from the June meter read through the May 2014 meter read.

Since the Village's Electric Aggregation Program began last summer, over 26,000 residents and small businesses have enrolled and collectively saved more than $5,000,000 as compared to what they could have paid ComEd.

To stay with Integrys, residents do not need to do anything. Other than the price, nothing changes with the electricity service.
