Accidental Gas Leak Cause Evacuation Of Strip Mall At Weiland And Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove
Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:39 AM Tuesday to a report of a strong gas odor at a strip mall in the block of 1100 Weiland Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics discovered that gas burner knobs at a restaurant were accidentally left in the on position.
The strip mall was evacuated for a short time while firefighters, secured the gas flow by controlling the knobs, ventilated the area and checked gas levels.
