Over $25K Loss Reported: Residential Burglary On North Haddow Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:22 AM Friday of a residential burglary in the block of 2500 North Haddow Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a home near Haddow Ave and Hintz Road, also the location is near St. Ednas Catholic Church.

Police received a report thatr esidents arrived home to find an open door on the south side of the house. Police sent a K-9 unit in to help investigate and search for offender(s).

Police discovered that an offender or offenders pried open a locked door after trying another door. The first door had pry marks, but was not opened.

Missing was $700 from a first floor office, where the offender(s) also searched through drawers.

The offender(s) also took a tennis bracelet with 8 karats of diamonds valued at $10K, a diamond pendant valued at $12K, diamond stud earrings, and a pair of gold diamond earrings valued at $3,000

The offender(s) also looked through boxes of costume jewelry, but did not take any. Offender(s) took loose change from one of the bedrooms.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Friday, October 4, 2013 between 4:50 p.m. and 9:21 p.m.
