Residential Burglary At Apartment On East Golf Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:01 PM Saturday of a residential burglary in an apartment building in the block of 900 East Golf Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders attempted to burglarize an apartment and successfully burglarized an apartment.

In the first incident -- an attempted residential burglary -- a resident heard a noise outside the apartment door at noon. The resident thought that a cleaning crew was working in the hallway.

In the evening, the resident noticed pry marks and damage to the door and door frame of her interior hallway apartment door.

The incident at the three-story apartment building is reported to have occurred on Friday, October 25, 2013 at noon.

A second incident involved a burglary with no signs of force at the door.

Reported missing was a silver Apple iPad valued at $700, which was taken off the dining room table.

The offender(s) also knocked a shelf over that was holding a Comcast box -- knocked off of a shelf in the master bedroom.

The second incident involving the burglary is reported to have occurred on Saturday, October 26, 2013 between 8:10 p.m and 11:00 p.m.
