Over $18K in Watches/Jewelry Reported Taken in Residential Burglary on West Lillian Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:31 AM Saturday of a residential burglary in the block of 1500 West Lillian Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a home overnight while the resident wasn't home.

The victim arrived home and found that a door that leads to the driveway was deadbolted, even though it is not usually deadbolted. The resident then found that his two pit bulls were loose in the house, even though they are usually confined in a certain area of the home.

The resident also discovered that the door to the backyard was ajar.

The victim checked the house before the police arrived. The master bedroom and a spare bedroom were reportedly found ransacked.

Nothing was reported missing from the spare bedroom.

Reported missing from the master bedroom were several men's watches, a men's masonic ring, and antique silver coins that were in a small box.

The following men's watches were reported missing:

A men's Rolex presidential gold watch valued at $15,000.

A men's silver Seiko watch with a black face $3,000.

A men's Coach watch with a white face valued at $600.

A men's Movado watch with a black face of unknown value.

A men's Fossil watch with a black face of unknown value.

A men's Kenneth Cole watch with a white face of unknown value.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Friday, November 1, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 8:30 a.m.
