Pair Of Coyotes Sighted Near St. Edna, Chicago Futabakai School, Glenkirk School And Walnut Ave And Chestnut Ave, Arlington Heights

Pair of coyotes was sighted about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013, westbound from the St. Edna Catholic Church parking lot, to the north fence line at Chicago Futabakai School, to the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and Walnut Avenue (Glenkirk School), to backyards in the 2500 block of North Walnut Avenue.

The coyotes traveled in a pair and were followed westbound on Walnut Avenue (where it is an east-west roadway) at a speed over 30 mph.

According to the speedofanimals.com, the Coyote has a top speed of 69 km/h or 43 mph. Coyotes are also known to be capable of jumps of a distance of 4 meters or 13⅛ feet.
