Police Activity/Crime Scene In Parking Lot Just North Of 1 North Chestnut Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:00 AM Friday to a report a report of a man shot at 1 North Chestnut Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a witness heard a gunshot and saw a man unresponsive in a vehicle in the parking lot, just north of the 1 North Chestnut Avenue building.

Arlington Heights police arrived immediately and secured the scene using a police ballistics/armor shield to approach the vehicle.

Firefighter/paramedics also responded immediately and staged while police secured the scene.

Firefighter/paramedics were on the scene for about 30 minutes, but were not involved in transportation.

A crime scene was established, and police taped off the sidewalk along Chestnut Avenue and part of Wing Street near Chestnut Avenue to create a police line surrounding the parking lot. The vehicle involved in the crime scene appeared to be on the south side of the parking lot that is just north of the 1 North Chestnut Avenue building.

Police have no immediate release of information on the incident, and people outside the crime scene perimeter have no confirmation on whether a self-inflicted gunshot/suicide or homicide is involved at this time.
