Chicagoland weather radar shows precipitation passing over southern Wisconsin and far northern Illinois at about 5:47 p.m. Even lighter precipitation is expected to continue until about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Satellite images (infrared) show clouds over most of the Midwest. Fog and clouds are expected overnight, and clouds are expected to continue to cover the northwest suburbs through Friday evening.

Temperatures are expected to be steady overnight at about 46 degrees with light southeast winds at about 5 mph. Then temperatures are expected to start rising at about 7:00 a.m. and reach a high of 55 degrees at about 6:00 p.m. We will be without a wind chill from about 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.
After a few short gusty periods during the day, the winds will really pick up at about 9:00 p.m. and shift from southerly to westerly. Steady west winds of 15-16 mph expected overnight Wednesday to Thursday with gusts of 22-24 mph. Temperatures will plummet starting at about 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and hit the freezing mark at about 4:00 a.m. Air temperature will drop to 27 degrees by 9:00 a.m. with a wind chill of 15 degrees. Thursday's high will almost hit 32 degrees but Thursday night's low will drop to 19, and the Friday night/Saturday morning low will drop to 11 degrees with a wind chill of -2 degrees at about 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. High Saturday? about 19-21 degrees at noon with a wind chill of 9-10 degrees.
