Chicagoland weather radar shows a small area of precipitation that passed through the northwest suburbs. Shortwaves initially headed southeasterly from the Rockford area passed through the northwest suburbs and moved over Lake Michigan late morning.

Some dusting from snow showers has occurred and may continue to occur throughout the day. Earlier this morning, snow was not forecast by the National Weather Service for the area. Amounts forecast are less than one-quarter inch.
